This extension works very well. It measures about 15 feet and has a gauge on it to tell you when you're getting close to empty. I have tried it on my Patio propane fire pit so that the tank is behind some patio furniture. It looks a lot better than staring at a tank. I've also tried it In a shed that has been using for a workshop. I ran it through the tank is outside and the heater is inside. Give me a little bit more room and it's nice not having a tank full of propane in an area that you're working. I definitely have a CO2 Fire detector and a explosive gas detector just in case.

I got this to use with my gas heater and propane tank that I use for my garage during colder months. The gas tank gauge, and the hose length was the draw to obtaining this hose. Using a longer hose allows the tank to be outside with the heater still in the garage. Upon opening the package the hose is very heavy duty, 15' feet long and the brass fittings are beefy, it seems vey well made. The gauge has Green(full), Yellow(low), and Red(refill) markings on it, showing the remaining gas level in the tank. When attempting to attach the hose to my heater, I realized my heater has a different fitting than the one on this hose. I also attempted to put it on my gas grill, but that had the same fitting as my heater so this was not compatible for my devices. My neighbor has a grill which fits this fitting so we installed it on his grill. Attaching the other end of the hose to the propane tank is done easily by hand twisting/tightening. Once the gas was turned on, the gauge showed halfway in the Green, which we assume is still pretty full. There are no percentage numbers on the gauge, so it's mostly just an estimate of how much gas is left in the tank. The one thing I didn't care for is that the gauge is on the end that attaches to the grill (or whatever you may use it on), and is not easily visible without leaning over at the connection point. If the gauge was on the other end of hose, at the tank connection point, I feel this would have been a more useful design. This is a well made long hose with one thing I would have done differently.

I got this extension hose so that I could connect my Weber Traveler grill to a larger propane tank than the small one lb tank that connects directly to the grill. This hose is well made and I especially like the gauge that indicates how much propane is still in the tank. This has been a problem with the small green canisters. I move the grill further out on my lanai to cook so the 15 ft hose lets me move the grill but not have to drag the tank with it. So far it seems that this hose will not fit my portable gas grill. I am going to see if there is an adapter to make it work. I am assuming that the hose fits larger gas grills.

I wanted to use this to extend the reach of a propane weed torch, but the couplings wouldn't match up and I can't change the torch hose due to a proprietary end coupling. Living in Central Florida during storm season an emergency generator is a necessity. I have two 12K generators that I run off propane. The hose that came with the units is only about 5 feet long which is fine for a small tank but not so good when I want to use a 100 pound tank. This is a great hose and being 15 feet allows me to easily connect to a 100 pound tank while keeping it at a safe distance. I like the gauge as this will help me monitor the tanks and switch them out when needed (not too early or too late). Connectors are easy to use and secure nicely with no leaks. Great extension hose for grills, portable heaters or most anything else that uses propane. The hose is high quality and thick while still being easy to move around while using. The connections are tight and seem like they will last a long time. It threads on to the tank very easily and functions perfectly. So far no leaks or issues. The added gauge is super helpful as well to see tank level and give you an idea of when you need to switch it out.
