Very Stylish, Strong Performance

We chose the Empava EMPV-30RH13 Range hood primarily for its styling. We really like the curved corners and that the entire outer housing is fully welded into a seamless body. It looks great in our kitchen.

We found the supplied LED bulbs to be too dim and have replaced them with brighter daylight units.

Operation is very straight forward. We typically run the unit at F1 which is sufficient as F4 is fairly loud.

Cleaning is very easy and the filters are easily removed for washing in the dishwasher.

Installation was straight forward as we have an in-wall vertical duct that lined up perfectly with the top outlet.

The only problem I encountered was attaching the outlet collar to the body. The holes in the outer housing stainless did not align well with the motor housing holes and I could not get the screws to engage. I overcame this by enlarging the holes in the outer housing.

Love it

We just finally placed it up in our newly refurbished kitchen. The only drawback is it makes loud sounds upon you using the remote or manually turning it on. Which you had a mute button so touching it won't make so much noise. :(

The machine provides efficient ventilation

Empava Undercabinet Range Hood EMPV-30RH13 was fitted nicely with our earlier built kitchen cabinets (see photo) and significantly improved our quality of life. Before we bought this hood the using of our gas range led to serious increase of the level of carbon dioxide in the air of the kitchen and in our condo as a whole and affect our health, inducing head pain. The height and depth of the Empava hood was optimal for proper work of the hood, without risk of hitting the head about the edges of the hood. The machine provides efficient ventilation, the noise is modest. Provided remote also increases convenience of the Empava hood. I believe that every kitchen with gas range should have the hood over the range and Empava Hood EMPV-30RH13 is very good choice.

Nice and bright.

Recently installed the #EMPV-30RH13 and it works great. Haven't needed to use the highest fan setting (4) yet because the 3rd setting works great at keeping the steam and smells out of the rest of the house. The lights are nice and bright. Would like some light in the back section also, but this is way better than what I had.

Nice addition to my kitchen

Purchased during Black Friday 2024. It's a significant upgrade to the previous hood which was installed with the house 30+ yrs ago. Installed over the Xmas holidays, after having used it for about a month now there are a couple minor changes I would suggest. Light the front LED buttons at all times. I don't always turn on my overhead kitchen lights, which in low lighting scenarios makes it difficult to see the buttons. I keep the display always on, but having the buttons lit would improve their utility. It would also be helpful to have under hood LEDs toward the back of the hood as the existing lights don't provide a lot of light to the rear burners.

This was a replacement for an old white hood that couldn't be cleaned. It fit in just like the old one and was up in less than 30 minutes. It looks very nice and came in great shape. Before it was purchased, we had bought (different brand) another one from a box store and when we got home, the corner had been bashed in. Took it back and got another one, and it was bent on the other corner. Took it back and got our money back, then ordered this one. Glad we did.

Empava Range Hood Sure Works For Us

I ordered this range hood despite my husband's misgivings about what we would end up with. He loves me just as much after it arrived as he did before I ordered it, maybe even a little more. I kept him from having to drive 60 miles to find a range hood for that price. We had looked online but the only range hoods they offered looked a whole lot cheaper. When the Empava 30" range hood with light arrived the package was in mint condition, it fit, our contractor installed it and I love it. This is a lot of hood for the money. It's better constructed than many I had looked at. I feel confident the controls will hold up better if used by children or grandchildren as may be the case with this range hood.

Where is the kit to convert it to recirc?

This is a convertible range hood. It can be used as a ducted range hood, together with an aluminum duct (included). It also provides a thick body and more space for adding carbon filters. If you want to use it as a ductless range hood, it can also fulfill your needs.
