We have a guest house which was in need of cooktop. This Empava model has a front zone power of 6.5 in., 1, 200w. The other one is 7.87 in., 1, 800w. It uses touch controls only. A timer is built in. One button is for a child lock. This cooktop has a great feature called "Pan Presence Sensor". If there is no pot on the element, it shuts off automatically. This is a safety feature plus is saves on electricity. It is warranted for 2 years. We are able to use all of our cookware with it and find the low power setting for melting or very slow cooking to be a useful feature. In addition, the power element will bring things to a boil quickly; and also great for searing meat.

I had to squash the plans I had for this unit. I read the plug pattern on the wall incorrectly thinking it was a 220 receptacle. It is in fact a 110 with 20 amps. I was planning on mounting it in a heavy cart and using it to supplinent the stoves in cookouts. Not everything needs to be over a flame. I was going to put a plug on it and park it by the door for get- togethers. I read the answers to questions on here and it said to NOT use a plug! It also said to not run it with 110. That could overload the circuit and start a fire. I sm looking for a permanent home for it with hard- wired 220.
